Job Description: Reporting to our Corporate Counsel you will contribute to the provision of a strong legal, ethical and governance framework for the organisation and Council and ensure expert advice is provided and statutory compliance is met. You will work with key stakeholders across the organisation to understand their legal and governance needs, and advise and educate on relevant legislative requirements addressing both community and organisational interests on a practical level. Job Requirements: With the ability to exercise sound judgement, political astuteness and deliver best practice, you will bring a practical and pragmatic approach to your work and advice. You will have demonstrated professional leadership capabilities stemming from your legal experience in private, government or non for profit sectors. You will have an understanding of commercial and administrative law, procurement, and the management of disputes. Furthermore, you will be an accomplished communicator with strong planning, analytical and negotiation skills who is results focused and capable of building trust across the organisation.
