Job Description: City of Melbourne are looking for qualified and enthusiastic Gym Instructors who are committed to the delivery of high quality programs and outstanding customer service, to join either the iconic Melbourne City Baths or North Melbourne Recreation Centre for a variety of opportunities in 2025. As a Gym Instructor you will conduct lifestyle and progress consultations for a diverse range of individuals and groups. You will be required to demonstrate exercises in a professional and user friendly way using your professional customer focused approach. You will have a strong desire of helping our clients to reach their goals, and be someone who can build rapport easily so that our clients build trust for your professional and safe advice and on our programs and services Job Requirements: Proven team orientation in the workplace. Willingness to conduct on-shift group fitness classes (Circuit, HIIT, Prime) HLTAID003 Provide first aid. Current Health and Fitness Registration with Fitness Australia. A current Provide First Aid certificate - units of competancy: HLTAID002 Provide basic emergency life support. A Working with Children Check (employee) Skilled in the provision of customer information which outlines the benefits of membership and secondary spending, in particular personal training to prospective customers and/or members, in person, electronically and over the telephone. HLTAID001 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Qualification & Experience: Experience undertaking fitness assessments and providing personalised exercise prescription. Understanding/experience delivering gym based retention strategies Minimum Certificate III in Fitness & Certificate IV in Personal Training.
