Job Description: This is an opportunity to start your own business as an Early Childhood Qualified Family Day Care Educator. Our Coordination Unit will support and guide you to create a home-based Family Day Care service that provides high quality care and education for children in City of Greater Geelong. Together with their families, you will work with the children to plan, deliver and evaluate developmentally appropriate educational programs that reflect children’s needs and meets the requirements of the City of Greater Geelong, National Regulations and Commonwealth Government Guidelines, including the Early Years Learning and Development Frameworks and the National Quality Standard. Job Responsibilities: As a Contract Educator, you will receive the assistance of our Support Officers, including an Educational Leader. This support team will regularly visit your home, assist with resources to deliver your program and will be available as a contact point to answer questions and provide support. Our service offers a centralised payment system and collection of fees to allow you to focus on the delivery of the program. As a Family Day Care Contract Educator, you have the ability to set your own pay rate Job Requirements: Early Childhood Educator or Teacher qualification (minimum Cert III) Current Certificates – Level 2 First Aid, CPR, Emergency Asthma Training, Anaphylaxis Management, Child Protection. Current Employee Working with Children Check and National Criminal Record Check (less than 6 months old) is required for the educator and anyone over the age of 18 in the home.
