Job Description: The Quality Officer supports the Quality Manager in the operational delivery of the Clinical Quality program. They will assist in the implementation and monitoring of the effectiveness of the program within American Hospital Dubai LLC. Thus supporting organisational learning and ensuring American Hospital Dubai LLC is meeting its regulatory and accreditation obligations. Job Responsibilities: Develop, implement and coordinate education programs relating to data analysis and performance improvement Develop, in coordination with IT, a data display technique and reporting format which can be used hospital-wide for all data management Assist in reviewing information technology infrastructure required to support a hospital wide performance, quality improvement and reporting system Coordinate with the assigned Clinical Governance staff data validation on required data elements Assist in planning, implementing, and monitoring of the Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Program Assist the various department leaders in ensuring full compliance to the requirement of data collection, analysis, reporting and action Ensure needed data is collected on a timely basis; regular reports on progress are distributed, and make recommendations for future improvement in the infrastructure and systems Assist in developing and monitoring hospital policies, plans and programs Guides in development of clinical practice guidelines, protocols, pathways, and order sets. Ensures monitoring of the same Assist in monitoring activities and core measures, inclusive of the measures required from the JCI Library of measures Assist in developing data collection tools for key performance measures and other identified trends Assist in management of performance improvement projects, flow and alignment to assure milestones and key performance indicators are met within defined parameters. Documents the results of projects, and submits other documentation as requested Job Requirements: Extensive knowledge of quality improvement processes and tools Evidence of developing innovative and creative solutions to achieve organisation objectives within clinical improvement setting Knowledge of principles, methods, procedures and current trends in health information data management Participated in accreditation programs and surveys Healthcare degree or equivalent professional qualification (current license preferred) Knowledge of developing standards, policies and procedures Experience in managing large, complex projects and initiatives.
