Job Description:

We are looking for a Data Platform and Analytics Lead to maintain and uplift the capability within its remit to support the organisational goal of a data driven organisation. You are someone who still enjoys being hands on, have experience in managing and uplifting data platforms (from data warehouses to data lake) as well as can conceptualise the business needs and present solutions that enables the business to utilise the data in a meaningful manner.

Job Responsibilities:

• Define and maintain the roadmap for data platforms as well as reporting and analytics solutions
  Ensuring adequate business demand management practices are in place and be able to set and manage expectations with the business
  Drive the continuous improvement within the team to make the solution robust and resilient
• Adopting automation and implementing self-healing strategies as appropriate
• Effective management of the MSP that provides support in this area
• Being the single point of contact for all queries, issues and escalations relating to this discipline
• Overarching management of the team and the capability as it relates to data warehouses, reporting and analytics platform

Qualification & Experience:

• Experienced in performance tuning of large data warehouses/lakes and reporting solutions
• Experience in streamlining workflows, modern ways of working with usage of tools such as
• A background in Data base administration with focus on data base performance tuning or
• Experience in effective usage of API’s (native where possible) to get the job done.
• Hands on experience with ETL and batch processing environments, processing large amounts of data on a daily basis
• Experience in system and application integration using an iPaaS (TIBCO, MuleSoft, DellBoomi, Informatica etc) as the mediating layer especially within AWS/Azure – Mandatory
• Experience in development of new API’s and API management – Mandatory
• Experienced in performance tuning of large data warehouses/lakes and reporting solutions
