Job Description:

As the Senior Application Performance Monitoring and Alerting Specialist, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining applications availability dashboards that will represent the QoS (Quality of Service) for the application services provided by the application services team. You will also be responsible for setting up an application monitoring and alerting capability, thereby ensuring that automated alerts are managed and where possible, automatically addressed and are aligned to business needs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the selection and implementation of application monitoring tools & technologies and process definition work. Once implemented, own, define and drive long-term technical strategy and roadmap for enhancing Airservices’ s alerting and monitoring capabilities
- Identify opportunities to automate repeated tasks (patching/repeated incidents/tasks) within the application and data services portfolio
Develop and mentor other staff members to assist and support within the Monitoring and Alerting discipline - Work with other teams to develop understanding of various applications and define monitoring framework/approach to different type of applications
- Identify improvement opportunities and implement recommendations to ensure that application performance and stability is enhanced
- Lead the development and maintenance of Airservices Applications performance and availability dashboard
- Accountable for the development and maintenance of system and technical documentation in accordance with the organisation’s System Management Manual
Job Requirements:
- Ability to conceptualise complex computer systems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills (written & oral) with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels.
Qualification & Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in Application Performance Monitoring and Alerting utilising market leading monitoring solutions, including experience in the introduction of these platforms within complex technology landscapes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and highly self-motivated, with experience in managing/mentoring other staff members along with the ability to work within diverse teams or independently as required in both office and remote working settings.
