Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare long term Financial strategic plan to create 3-5 year financial projections
  • Build & maintain key relationships and strategic alliances with vendors & trading/ business partners / internal stakeholders
  • Partner with Finance Transformation teams in implementing best tools and systems in R2R, O2C, P2P, Tax, Treasury etc.
  • Evaluate operations and make suggestions for increasing efficiency through process improvement / automation
  • Review/ensure application of appropriate internal controls, compliance and financial processes at SSF (Procurement, AP, AR, Banking, Treasury, Investment, VAT etc.)
  • Design and implement best practices and process improvements within the Financial Reporting, Technical Accounting and Financial Controlling processes
  • Maintaining and updating policy and procedure manuals (SOPs), including Financial Policies & Procedures and ensuring compliance
  • Support Leadership efforts in financing of new projects/improvements – identify the required financing, options for securing it optimally
  • Define key Financial performance KPIs and build measurement and governance dashboards around KPIs
  • Ensure the finance/accounting department has strong systems and policies and that these systems and policies are continuously reviewed and improved
  • Review of contracts and providing inputs on risks if any
  • Evaluate Business decisions and review financial impacts
  • Review and reconciliation of BS accounts, GL Scrutiny
  • Lead Operational governance at SSF and escalate issues timely
  • Ensure that Process Leads are publishing daily, weekly and monthly dashboards
  • Review the dashboards to figure out any discrepancies/ areas of concern and seek necessary clarification from the relevant Process Lead or Process Executive
  • Lead creation of Analytical reports, System/software implementation and tools for budgeting, forecasting & Operational MIS
  • Coordination with the businesses on AR, AP, GL, ICM and Payroll accounting
  • Serve as key point of contact for external auditors, manage preparation and support of all external audits (Statutory, Tax etc.)
  • Research, interpret and provide guidance to finance leadership on the application of new accounting pronouncements and accounting for unique transactions
  • Liaise with various AF Group departments like Group Legal, EIT, Group Admin, Group HR, Group Procurement, APSSC etc
  • To deliver monthly accounting close for revenue and expense, financial reporting, cash flow forecasting and balance sheet integrity as per SLAs and agreed timelines. Contribute to the development of business partnership through monthly reviews and recommendation of improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare and present Annual financial budgets & Quarterly forecasts to the Finance Leadership for Corporate entities
  • Review and analyse monthly financial results (B/S, P&L and cash flow) and provide key observations / recommendations to Management
  • Drive timely monthly, Quarterly & Annual closing process, Forecasting

Job Requirements

  • 14-16 years of well-rounded experience in the field of Finance & Accounting
  • Experience with ERP (preferably SAP – FICO, BPC, BI etc.) and information systems, including planning, implementation and monitoring
  • Experience preferably in Shared Service environment with Process mindset
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word/ Excel/ PowerPoint/MS Projects)
  • Accounting professional qualification (CA/CPA) with proven expertise in Financial and Management accounting
  • Strong core finance technical skills and solid understanding of finance & Accounting Standards (IFRS), processes, infrastructure and systems (SAP FICO)
  • Sound knowledge on Accounting principles and Standards, Compliances, VAT
  • Sound knowledge of Regulatory compliances
  • Working knowledge of SAP and Presentation skills
  • Planning and Execution expertise , Project Management skills, Strong process management skills
  • Excellent analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills
