Job Responsibilities
- The jobholder must be able to communicate with all areas of the company.
- The jobholder must work with an engineering counterpart to define product release requirements.
- The jobholder must work with marketing communications to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer
- Develop and maintain strategic long-term trusting relationships with high volume clients to accomplish organic growth in Sales and long-term company objectives

- Measure, track and analyse key account metrics
- Management of customer complaints and analyzing complaint statistic
- The jobholder must serve as the internal and external evangelist for your product offering, occasionally working with the sales channel and key customers
- In conjunction with Service Manager & Aftersales Managers, developing & implementing customer support strategies
- Stock Planning for Key Customers
- Serve as contact point for Key Customers and internal teams (including negotiation & finalization of key contracts)
- The key account manager is responsible for handling the most important client accounts in a company.
- He/she will be the lead point of contact for all key client matters, anticipate the client’s needs, work within the company to ensure deadlines for client are met, and help the client succeed.
- The key account manager will also bring in new business from existing clients or contacts and will develop new relationships with potential clients
Job Requirements
- Management of a defined number of International Key Accounts and Major Local Accounts
- Acts as the lead LMHD consultant by delivering a consultative, solutions selling approach with the defined IKA’s and MLA’s.
- Ensures that holistic key account plans are developed and implemented in order to maintain the loyalty of existing and win the loyalty of defined list of IKA’s and MLA’s
- Serve as contact point for Key Customers and internal teams (including negotiation & finalization of key contracts)
- Measure, track and analyse key account metrics
- Management of customer complaints and analyzing complaint statistics
- Preferably, an Engineer, a business administration qualification will be an added advantage. Must have extensive knowledge of material handling equipment.
- At least 10 years of industry experience (Material Handling) of which past 5 years should be in a senior management capacity in similar business.
- Knowledge of industry specific performance indices such as market share, aftermarket absorption. Should be familiar with some dealer operating standards.
- Extrovert, articulate, people oriented, ability to work under pressure, possesses good interpersonal skills, multi- cultural, enjoys working with numbers, strategic thinker.
