Job Description:

The Coordinator Response Systems will support the management and administration of Australia’s national distress beacon registration service and the assignment of maritime mobile service identities (MMSI). The role includes engaging with AMSA stakeholders, responding to complex distress alerting and safety system enquiries, evaluating and processing beacon and MMSI applications, and the development of policy, regulation and standards for distress alerting and safety systems.

Job Requirements:

• Experience in business or system management, search and rescue, maritime or aviation safety industries, or a related discipline.
• Ability to acquire knowledge of international and domestic obligations relating to search and rescue systems.
• Experience in developing responses to requests for information that involve data analysis, research, and report preparation.
