Job Description: • To provide high quality tuition for participants in the Centre’s Learn to Swim Program, enabling participants to develop and improve their swimming ability in a safe and enjoyable learning environment. Job Responsibilities: Facilitate a professional, safe, enjoyable learning environment in which students progressively learn to swim. Prepare and review lesson plansto ensure they align with RLSSWA and Armadale Fitness and Aquatic Centre’s curriculum. Assess student’s competencies according to RLSSWA and Armadale Fitness and Aquatic Centre’s Swim School policies. Complete administration tasks specific to the Swim Schoolprogram. Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons at theCentre. Effective communication with participants and parents by providing advice and positive feedback on progress. Render assistance to anyone within the Centre who has been involved in an accident or appears to be in difficulty, subject to there being no compromise to the safety of participants in the Learn to Swim Program, and no danger to personal health andsafety Liaise with Swim School Team Leader and Swim School DeckSupervisor. Contribute to promoting and developing Aquatic programs, Centre programs andevents. Responsible to adhere to rosters and to arrange replacement when required, following setprocedures. Attend scheduled training and professional developmentsessions. Job Requirements: Developed water rescue and resuscitationskills. Developed interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to work in a teamenvironment. Sound knowledge of stroke development. Qualification & Experience: Current Austswim Teacher of Swimming and WaterSafety Previous swimming teaching experience (desirable). Current Provide First Aid Certificate - HLTAID003. Resuscitation Qualification. Hold a current extension qualification or willing to achieve within 12 months of employment eg. Austswim Teacher of Infant and Preschool Aquatics, Austswim of Aquatics Access and Inclusion, Austswim Teacher of Adults, Austswim Teacher of Towards CompetitiveStrokes. Current National Police Clearance (obtained within previous 3 months). Current Working with ChildrenCheck.
