Job Description:

The Manager, Pay and Conditions is a key member of the Human Resources team as well as the People and Business Solutions Branch leadership team. This role works closely with key stakeholders to support and uplift organisational operational objectives, through the delivery of effective and efficient human resources services and solutions.

The role is responsible for leading a team of five that provides accurate and timely processing of payroll entitlements for over 400 employees each fortnight, HRIS administration, organisation structure data integrity, interpretation and application of legislative and enterprise agreement driven employment conditions, personnel administration and reporting to internal and external stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensuring HR system (Connx and MicrOpay) capabilities and processes are fit for purpose and upgrades and enhancements are completed in a timely manner
• Managing relationships with third parties who support AUSTRAC’s human resource processes and systems
• Continuously assessing relevant industry and public service developments, including conducting research, to guide human resource led initiatives
• Managing a highly dedicated team to ensure high levels of staff engagement and performance,
• Planning and prioritising continuous improvement to business processes
• Providing expert conditions of employment and policy advice to the Director Human Resources and National Manager People and Business Solutions
• Identifying connections between employment conditions and the stated objectives and operational imperatives of the agency;
• Proactively cultivating opportunities for collaboration with relevant work of the other related business units;
• Developing and/or implementing policies and procedures in accordance with public service expectations and employment related legislation and guidance, on matters including:
• And cessation of employment
• Redeployment and redundancy
