Job Description:
This position reports directly to the Regional Manager NSW/ACT and is responsible for Chain of Responsibility & Safety within our Network Operations. Our Duty Manager will lead a small team and be held responsible for the day-to-day operations management of the particular Branch.This role is required to improve network effectiveness via the strategic review and implementation of agreed initiatives at a Branch level and ensure that all service delivery standards and compliance obligations are achieved while actively driving change to manage costs and network improvements.
Job Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the achievement of service performance targets by:
- Driving consistent, efficient, and effective transport system operations through standardised policies, procedures and core national systems
- Work collaboratively with all network partners to ensure that end to end parcel operations are optimised
- Lead direct reports to work as a customer-centric team embracing the culture pillars of behaviour
- Implement the national transport strategies and solutions by incorporating appropriate audit mechanisms to ensure legislative compliance is maintained
- Embed a safety culture in the network through implementation of Site Safety Compliance Plan and application of corrective safety action strategies
- Manage day to day transport operations in the Branch
Qualification & Experience:
- Significant experience in the interpretation of Safety legislation, policies, and processes
- Experience developing and implementing safety work plans to deliver on strategic priorities
- Significant experience with influencing leadership behaviours to achieve safety outcomes
- Executing and delivering results through others
