Job Description: The Banyule Community Fund seeks to build and strengthen the Banyule community through charitable giving. The role of the Banyule Community Fund Officer will be: Job Responsibilities: To establish and coordinate the Banyule Community Fund including core administrative services to support all philanthropy relationships To work with internal service units identifying key projects and funding opportunities To develop a comprehensive framework, fund schedule and program in line with Council Policy and Council resolution on the Banyule Community Fund To build and maintain relationships with key external parties, prospective donors and grant recipients To ensure that all donation transactions are dealt with in line with Council’s policy and procedures To establish and develop the Banyule Community Fund (BCF) as a sustainable model Job Requirements: Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or extensive experience in fundraising Experience and/or knowledge in working within the philanthropic sector, with funding bodies or in grant management Demonstrated understanding of grants programs including rationale, key criteria and processes Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with internal and external stakeholders.
