Job Description:
The Banyule Community Fund seeks to build and strengthen the Banyule community through charitable giving. The role of the Banyule Community Fund Officer will be:
Job Responsibilities:
- To establish and coordinate the Banyule Community Fund including core administrative services to support all philanthropy relationships
- To work with internal service units identifying key projects and funding opportunities
- To develop a comprehensive framework, fund schedule and program in line with Council Policy and Council resolution on the Banyule Community Fund
- To build and maintain relationships with key external parties, prospective donors and grant recipients
- To ensure that all donation transactions are dealt with in line with Council’s policy and procedures
- To establish and develop the Banyule Community Fund (BCF) as a sustainable model
Job Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or extensive experience in fundraising
- Experience and/or knowledge in working within the philanthropic sector, with funding bodies or in grant management
- Demonstrated understanding of grants programs including rationale, key criteria and processes
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
