Job Description:
Council is looking for an experienced and passionate individual preferably with substantial procurement experience, who has worked successfully in a mature procurement environment or has substantial experience in other functional process and system improvement leadership roles. Significant knowledge in process management and associated systems combined with the discipline of delivering functional improvement projects is essential to succeed in this role.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver procurement improvement projects
- Establish trusted relationships with stakeholders including Process Owners, Process Managers and Technical experts across Council
- Manage all SAP Security and Access requests in accordance with Council’s Segregation of Duties control documentation
- Lead cross-functional engagement with Information Services Branch including work package prioritization, funding requirements, solutioning and enhancement management
- Liaise and work with procurement downstream teams in Support Services Branch (Master Data, Accounts Payable, Purchasing Services, Inventory and Warehousing)
- Liaise with Council’s Audit and Assurance Services and the Queensland Audit Office
- Analyse Council’s Source to Pay procurement processes and identify opportunities for process and system improvements
- Lead a small team of technical experts.
Job Requirements:
- In-depth process management knowledge and demonstrated experience in a mature organization (preferably procurement function) and complex ERP environments
- Demonstrated application of business improvement skills and compliance to identify, critically analyse and resolve business problems, and drive process improvement in procurement by leveraging process, people, and technology
- Highly developed communication, negotiation, and consultation skills appropriate for influencing all levels
- Experience in strong governance and compliance focused organisations
- Proven ability to build relationships and communicate across all levels of the organisation, translating technical or functional matters into non-technical/ functional business language
- Experience establishing, improving, and embedding process-related policies, standards, governance, and methodologies
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to deliver outcomes within agreed timeframes in a time pressured environment with competing responsibilities and priorities, and
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills, including researching.
