Job Description:

ALEXACHUNG is seeking a motivated, creative and talented Freelance footwear design and product developer to join its team. The Position covers the new Development of seasonal footwear following through to production.

Job Responsibilities:

• Presentation of said research to Alexa and design team.
• Developing collection plans according to market trends, seasonal needs,
• FTS according to design, technical, manufacturing and commercial needs.
• Designing of uppers.
• Liaising between suppliers and factories to speed up production
• Style, material and colour Coding, and Inputting these into our RLM software.
• Appraisal of PPS samples/Confirmation of Gold Seal samples together with production team
• Structural development: Lasts, heels, soles and platforms.
• Production fits and preparing tech packs for production launch
• Following factories and suppliers to meet prototype and SMS deadlines
• Completion of technical spec sheets for all styles
• Collaboration between material suppliers, agent and factories
• Market, Seasonal/Collection and Trend research
• Sourcing existing structural elements to aid development costs.
• Branding placement on footwear and footwear packaging
• Materials (upper materials, accessories and trims) research and sourcing
• According to aesthetics, price and availability.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to follow a critical path and deadlines
• RLM software experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
• Must have an interest in fashion and trends, with the ability to interpret creative and design director’s vision.
• Experiences in womenswear footwear design and development.
• Attention to detail
• Applications without a portfolio will not be considered
• Ability to work under pressure
• Experience working independently and with a wider team.
