Job Description:
We are currently looking for two talented Transport Network Engineers to manage, investigate and resolve complex transport / road network issues. Your industry experience and outstanding customer experience will help to improve and maintain the amenity of the city, as well as providing safety and efficiency of movement for all transport users.
Job Responsibilities:
- Modelling customer-focused behaviour and provide high quality customer service
- Investigating customer requests and resolve a high volume of transport network related issues
- Providing quality technical advice, correspondence and reports to relevant stakeholders on transport network matters
- Undertaking regular consultation and negotiation with the community and Ward Offices and Lord Mayor’s Office around emerging transportation, traffic and parking management matters
- Maintaining knowledge of relevant regulations, standards and regulations, and proactively identify traffic and parking management tends, opportunities and solutions
- Assisting in the investigation, planning and implementation of local area traffic management schemes, studies and street improvement projects
- Carrying out site visits to assess/document issues and provide recommendations
- Working closely with colleagues, sharing knowledge and technical expertise.
Job Requirements:
- An understanding of transport network engineering practices, legislation and standards
- Ability to prioritise and manage competing demands to deliver agreed standards and deadlines
- Capacity to think ‘outside the box’ in your analysis of the customer enquiry
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Effective, confident communication with a variety of people
- Extensive experience in the use of computer software packages
