Job Description: The role of the Project Manager, Research and Clinical Trials involves either: managing Cancer Australia's Support for Cancer Clinical Trials (SCCT) program which supports the capacity of multi-site, collaborative clinical trials groups to develop industry-independent cancer clinical trial protocols; or supporting the Agency's national grants program – the Priority-driven Collaborative Cancer Research Scheme (PdCCRS) which is an annual, national, collaborative grants funding scheme which funds cancer research projects in areas of identified priority. Job Responsibilities: Assisting with grant management including contract variations for the PdCCRS program, including review of progress and final reports and financial statements Organising and providing secretariat support for meetings between Cancer Australia and key stakeholders Preparing grant funding documentation and final grant agreements Liaising with internal and external stakeholders Responding to internal and external enquiries relating to the Research and Clinical Trials program of work. Job Requirements: Well-developed project management skills. A tertiary qualification in a biological science (at degree or higher level) An understanding of the cancer clinical trials environment in Australia; or an understanding of the research grants landscape A demonstrated familiarity with medical and cancer-related terminology Knowledge of the requirements for clinical trial protocol development; or research grant development Knowledge of the issues facing the conduct of clinical trials in Australia Experience with PubMed or similar journal databases Experience in program and grants/contract management.
