Job Description:
A proactive team member to join our crew! You will have experience in wastewater treatment plant operations or will be willing to transfer your trade experience to this interesting role within Council for our Community. You enjoy being responsible for your actions and being accountable for the results you deliver in your role. You must have strong written and verbal communication skills to assist in reporting to the Environment Protection Authority, Department of Primary Industry and Environment, NSW Health and Council. You will have competent numeracy and literacy skills and the ability to utilise a computer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Travel and work at other Wastewater Treatment Plants within Richmond Valley Council as required
- Be available to be placed on an on-call roster (up to 2 weeks rotation)
- Operate and maintain the processes of wastewater treatment systems e.g. IDEAT, Trickling Filter and CDEAT
- Assist in managing capital projects at treatment plants
- Assist in reporting to Environment Protection Authority, Department of Primary Industry and Environment, NSW Health and Council
Job Requirements:
- Certificate III in Water Industry Operations or equivalent trade-based qualification
- General Construction Induction (WHS White Card)
- Current Class C Driver licence
