CDC Hiring – Lead Public Health Analyst

Job Description:

The incumbent serves as the Team Leader, Budget and Extramural Team, Office of Science (OS), Office of the Director, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The incumbent provides leadership and guidance on the development of goals and objectives, policies, program planning and development, and program management and operations for the activities of the Office as they pertain to Interagency Agreements (IAAs), non-research cooperative agreements and grants.

Job Responsibilities:

• Articulate and communicate to the team the assignment, project, problem to be solved, actionable events, milestones, and/or program issues under review, and deadlines and time frames for completion.
• Manage grants, agreements and contracts.
• Provide technical assistance in the area of extramural processes for state and local health departments, universities, and community organizations.
• Plan, direct, manage, and evaluate budget and extramural activities, and program goals and objectives and projects conducted by the Team that are consistent with OS and CDC priorities; and responsible for making policy and managerial decisions.
• Prepare reports and maintain records of work accomplishments and administrative information, as required, and coordinate the preparation, presentation, and communication of work-related information to the supervisor.
• Coordinate ongoing contacts and relations with external groups and organizations through the provision of project and Scientific officer technical assistance and interaction with other DHHS agencies and other Federal Departments.

Job Requirements:

• One-year probationary period may be required.
• US Citizenship is required.
• Background Investigation may be required.

Qualification & Experience:

• Applicants must have one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level of in the Federal service.
