The Instructional Designer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing performance-based course learning content for the utilization management, case management, chronic condition management, non-clinical intake, and coaching (telephonic and onsite) programs within the Consumer Health Engagement organization. supports the successful design and delivery of in accordance with the goals of the organization. Ensures all learning curriculum reinforces the cultural beliefs: Customer Strong, Me to We, Own It!, Be Bold, Listen to Advocate, and Think it Through and key results
Job Responsibilities:
- Continuously enhance the training experience of our associates by creating an interactive and engaging learning environment utilizing instructor-led, virtual and eLearning platforms.
- Develop solid role play scenarios and incorporate them into the training curricula.
- Identify changes in products, systems and processes that impact training through the attendance at operational and project meetings or other formal and informal means, and update the curriculum as needed with these changes.
- Perform ongoing curriculum maintenance as needed to ensure training materials are current and documentation is available in a secure shared location.
- Continually improve the effectiveness and depth of all training curricula by staying current with evolving instructional design techniques.
- Develop strong relationships with our business partners to implement and assist in curriculum development.
- Build partnerships with leadership to understand and determine opportunities for improvement in learning programs, including soft skill and competency development as well as technical knowledge and proficiency.
- Promote inclusion of core values and strategies in training curricula.
- Embrace change, stay current on the business strategy and keep curricula up to date with the changes in the business strategy and direction to align with CHE key priorities.
- Perform classroom training and facilitation as required to meet business needs.
- Develop written and verbal learner evaluations to ensure knowledge transfer.
- Design, develop and implement course content for new hire training curriculum for case managers, specialty case managers, inpatient case manager, prior authorization nurses, coaches, personal advocates, intake specialitsts, and supervisors.
- Design, develop and implement course content for ongoing training programs
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Understanding of medical management operations and various systems (i.e. TruCare, HEV, HC ICMS, CHC ICMS, CAMS, DG, CCMS, PreVue) preferred
- Experience implementing training programs and building strong relationships and consensus.
- Demonstrated understanding of CHE products and programs
- 5+ years of instructional design with 2+ years’ experience developing healthcare training curriculum
- Strong skills working with authoring tools such as: Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, Adobe Captivate, Lectora, MovieMaker, etc.
