Job Description:
Undertake the landscape design of Landscape Capital Projects within the City including undertaking the development of detailed documentation including drawing sets and specifications for the purposes of tendering and construction.
Coordinate the Contract Administration process to ensure landscape capital projects are completed successfully in accordance with the design and specification.
Assist with the development of citywide strategic plans for the City’s streetscapes, community facilities and reserves ensuring sustainable asset management principles can be achieved.
Job Responsibilities:
- Recording of documentation in records system
- Preparation of Technical Services Committee agenda items within area of responsibility.
- Prepare comments and advice on plans for new subdivisional areas, estate developments and landscape development associated with building applications and provide relevant feedback to clients.
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge of Playground design safety.
- Knowledge of local government procedures, policies and activities.
- Knowledge of contract and tender documentation
- Highly developed landscape design skills.
- Highly developed time management skills.
- Proven drawing and drafting skills (CAD software)
- Adobe Creative Suite
Qualification & Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in Landscape Architecture and/or Design or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience in landscape design and irrigation design principles.
- Possession of Current ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence.
- Possession of or ability to obtain a current National Police Certificate
