Job Description: • To provide and deliver a highly efficient, high quality and professional procurementservice in line with corporate and legislative requirements. Job Responsibilities: Administerthe tender/EOI and quotation register, tender advertisements, and tender openings and liaise with Records on the creation and effective administration of tender files. Issue tender numbers and develop tender/EOI/Quotation documentation including reviewing departmentalspecifications to ensure minimum corporate standards are met prior to advertising. Provide guidance and support to all departments with the development of effective tender, EOI and quotation documentation and specifications. Ensure all tender evaluation reportsto Council comply with corporate standards. Participate in tender, EOI and major quotation evaluations providing advice to officers in line with the City’s purchasing policy and best practice procurement and governance principles. In conjunction with the Coordinator Contracts undertake periodic audits of the City’s procurement processes which includes reviewing tender/EOI and quotation documentation to ensure adherence to Council’s purchasing policy and statutory compliance. Contribute to the continual improvement of procurement processes Job Requirements: Ability to prioritise multiple tasks to meet strict deadlines and continually improve work practices. Well-developed written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interpret and apply legislation relevant to this position e.g. Local Government Act 1995 and associated regulations. Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with a diverse range of people to ensure delivery of a high level of customer service. Well-developed administration and research skills. Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills. Qualification & Experience: Experience in tendering and procurement, preferably within local government. Governance and/or administrative experience in local government or within the public sector generally. Highly developed level of computer literacy particularly within a Microsoft and electronic record keeping environment. Tertiary qualifications in law or commerce are desirable. Possession of Current C Class Drivers Licence.
