Job Description: Lead and manage the Leisure Services team, providing capacity building and stakeholder management of Darebin’s sporting clubs and associations. Responsible for the management of the sports field and facility allocations and the implementation of delivery of Darebin’s Get Active Program. Job Responsibilities: Implementing the leisure minor works program Implementing operational improvements and changing processes Contributing to strategic plans and reviews Implementing action plans Resolving stakeholder related issues Stakeholder representative on sporting infrastructure upgrades and renewal projects Development of budget and grant applications Job Requirements: Sound knowledge of sport and recreation in the areas of; sport club activation, participation, access and equity Demonstrated knowledge and experience in people and team management A current Victorian Driver’s Licence Qualification & Experience: Demonstrated experience in the area of recreation and leisure infrastructure and resource management, including joint and shared use arrangements and capital works projects for facility development, renewal and improvement Significant experience in stakeholder management including the demonstrated capacity to manage relationships that may have competing priorities A tertiary qualification in Leisure (or related discipline) and relevant experience in recreation and leisure environment.
