Job Description:

As Team Leader Youth Programs – Outreach you will be led the day to day operations and service provision of the Youth Outreach services. This includes a team of Youth Outreach Support Officers that engage and connect with young people in a range of community spaces and locations to support their participation. You will lead and support programs and projects that that enhance the wellbeing, community resilience, safety and social connectedness of young people in our community.

Job Responsibilities:

• Make a difference everyday leading the day to day operations of the Youth Outreach services across Darebin
• Impact the wellbeing, safety and social connectedness of young people in Darebin by planning and delivering exciting and evidence-based initiatives
• Partner with young people, industry partners and local stakeholders to build the capacity and resilience of young people

Qualification & Experience:

• Qualifications and/or experience within the youth and community services sector
• Experience in leading teams in a youth or community services setting
• Experience working in partnership with young people utilising co-design principles and practices
• Knowledge of current and emerging trends, issues and or legislation impacting young people
• Experience working with vulnerable young people within community locations who may be in crisis or disengaged from other services
