The Senior Community Events Officer is a key leadership role within the Programs and Events Team, providing positive and inspirational leadership to the events team, overseeing the day-to-day coordination and running of events, and contributing to the strategic direction of the events program. Job Requirements: Excellent event planning skills, with a proven ability to problem solve, utilising strong project management skills to deliver events on time and within budget. A proactive approach to ensure event plans are compliant in relation to risk and emergency management, traffic management and safety, contributing to the production of high quality and safe events. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to foster effective internal and external relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders. Demonstrated experience providing inspirational leadership to a small team to achieve excellent results. Substantial experience delivering a diverse range of community events, from local community celebrations to large scale, multi-faceted outdoor festivals. Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to adapt quickly in a rapidly changing environment, with competing demands and deadlines. Availability to work outside business hours to deliver events.
