Job Description:

The Tourism Operations Supervisor is responsible for the supervision, training and development of volunteers and staff working within the visitor services programs. The position undertakes various operational, customer service and administrative activities by providing flexible supervisory coverage across visitor service programs

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to demonstrate and display City of Melbourne Values – accountability, integrity, courage, respect for self and others, and striving for excellence.
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellence in customer service
  • Proven ability to show flexibility in adopting new work practices and meeting competing priorities and changing roster requirements and business needs.
  • Sound product knowledge of Melbourne and Regional Victoria and the tourism industry

Qualification & Experience:

  • Experience in working in a tourism role, in particular, in a visitor information service/major attraction and/or a relevant qualification.
  • Experience in the development, supervision and performance management of staff and volunteers.
