Job Description:
- Develop, implement, educate, and evaluate plant operations, safety processes and safety training program.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive skills assessment system, ensuring that City staff follow plant assessments and safety legislative requirements.
- Comply with City learning & development practices and procedures as set out by Corporate Human Resources
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop, review, and maintain workplace safety processes for Plant Operations and assessment activities in line with the City’s WHS policies and principles, audit controls and inspections.
- Design prepare and conduct training courses and workshops to ensure staff receive the required technical training to ensure legislative compliance is met as well as improve and maintain driver operator knowledge, skills set abilities.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive profile management system, ensuring that the corporation and staff follow legislative requirements.
- Develop and perform regular workplace assessments, audits, equipment inspections and site evaluations. Position will be required to work flexible work hours across various depots and shifts as required. To be held accountable for working conditions under the control of the position and detecting any unsafe or unhealthy conditions or behaviour and to take immediate steps
Job Requirements:
- Must hold and retain a Heavy Rigid class driver’s license, as well as provide an RMS driver history statement. Proven skills in developing, preparing, and implementing training needs / analysis and an ability to effectively train / up-skill individuals / diverse workforce.
- Demonstrated extensive experience in the development and implementation of training / education programs, workplace competency assessments and auditing programs.
- Demonstrated extensive experience in Chain of Responsibility and WHS policies and procedures when it comes to plant
- Excel, and Power Point) and computer-based records management principles.
- Prepared to work flexible working hours on day, afternoon and night shift at various depots when required.
Qualification & Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in technical training practices, methods, and resources; depots when required.Minimum of Certificate IV qualification in Workplace Training and Assessment or must obtain within first six months.
- Significant experience in driving and operating Heavy / Medium / Light Rigid vehicles standard office practices, including full command of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook,
