Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor on a full time basis to provide operational leadership to a team of Mechanics responsible for maintaining City’s heavy vehicle fleet and plant, including our waste trucks.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide operational leadership to Team Leaders and Mechanics undertaking maintenance and repairs on City fleet.
• Oversee the maintenance of the City’s fleet, delivered by an in-house team and contracted services.
• Practical involvement in the day-to-day workshop operations.
• Maintain a culture of safety first.

Job Requirements:

• HR class Driver’s Licence.
• Advanced customer service skills.
• Communication and problem solving skills
• Qualification in a relevant discipline such as Heavy Duty Mechanics is required.
• Relevant experience in a similar role is required.
• First Aid Certificate.
• Computing, numeracy and literacy skills.
• Organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks.
