Job Description: Plan and shape community assets at the heart of vibrant, thriving places. The Community Infrastructure Coordinator is part of the Community Precincts Team, which supports Council services in policy, service model development and in planning the community infrastructure pipeline. A key focus of this role is to lead community centre provision planning and early years planning projects, as well as support a broader range of community planning projects. This role will work closely with service owners, the Project Development team, and external partners to ensure Council’s facilities are planned to meet community needs and effectively deliver community benefit Job Requirements: Tertiary qualifications in community planning/development, human/social planning or relevant discipline, combined with 5 years minimum experience working in a similar role in either the public or private sector. An understanding of community service and infrastructure planning in a local government setting. Strategic and critical thinking ability, capable of identifying a range of options and generating solutions to complex issues. Able to work in multi-disciplinary teams, facilitate the achievement of shared objectives and build collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Proven ability to prepare concise and clearly written reports and explain complex matters to a diverse range of audiences.
