Job Responsibilities:

• Planning lessons to achieve class outcomes,
• Managing behavioural challenges through positive redirection,
• Providing regular feedback on swimmer progress,
• Teaching lessons in accordance with the City’s service standards, inclusive of appropriate and safe progressions, physical manipulation and assessment standards

Job Requirements:

As a collaborative member of the Swim School team, the position is accountable for lesson planning and delivery and class supervision. The successful appointee must be an adaptable and experienced Austswim accredited instructor.  They must also thrive working in a very busy and change driven organisation.   As such, applicants must be able to demonstrate through their CV and covering letter that they meet the following capabilities.

• Lesson planning,
• Effective communication,
• Class management and behavioural support skills,
• Ability to adapt to varying skill levels and changing circumstances within a lesson
