Job Description:

We’re looking for a senior application engineer to join us at Co-op and be the driving force on some very important transformation projects. We’re re-building our organisation to make it fit for the future, investing in our IT function to support transformation, bringing in new technologies and working in a more agile way.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide, monitor and manage day to day service delivery on a 24*7 rotation to meet requirements
• Build and maintain positive relationships with senior leaders and directors
• Act as a design authority in your area of expertise, across technology
• Co-ordinate and manage 3rd party supplier contracts and commercials for the cost-effective delivery of routine service and project activity
• Lead your remit with considerable change demand and juggling multiple projects and priorities
• Facilitate and lead workshops that generate ideas and content for sprints and or continuous improvement opportunities
• Support and deliver application design, build and implementation activities to programmes and projects

Job Requirements:

• A proven background working in IT, where you have coached and developed others
• The ability to confidently manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment
• The ability to work cross-functionally with a range of teams and partners
• Great communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information and present it in an engaging way
• Experience in running change and operations for multiple, tier 1, business critical apps/services
• A talent for working collaboratively, strong initiative and self-drive
• Experience developing and promoting technical strategies and designs
• Experience landing continuous improvement
