Job Description: It is an exciting time to be joining the Water and Waste (WW) Directorate of the City of Gold Coast where you can be a key driver in enacting change. We require an experienced and enthusiastic Business Systems Team Leader to join our team.You will add value to the business ensuring that it is well placed to be a ‘utility for the future’ and that it will have the correct resources and capability to deliver essential services for the City. Job Responsibilities: Provide input into the WW “Roadmap” for Line of Business Systems taking into account currently approved, planned or underway initiatives in the directorate. Lead other members of the team in ITIL processes, business analysis and organisation change management. Manage small projects and establish new solutions to improve business service provision. Assist and/or manage contract renewals for WW Line of Business Systems and make recommendations for revision where these do not align to Corporate or WW standards. Assist with creation of WW ICT Asset Management Plans and submit Project Briefs for funding as applicable. Respond to PC Audits and work with the business to ensure ICT assets receive the latest security updates. Lead the team in the management of incidents and service requests which have been logged for line of business systems, act upon them where appropriate and escalate where necessary. Job Requirements: Demonstrates a ‘Can-Do’ attitude and adaptable to needs and culture. Demonstrates a high level of interpersonal, oral and written communication skills including: an ability to analyse and articulate complex issues; Statement of Attainment in Managing Across the Lifecycle (ITIL) Ability to forecast, allocate and manage resources to support the successful delivery of operational and project requirements. articulate research through the presentation of innovative options to senior management and stakeholders; ability to prepare appropriate high quality written documents. Proven ability to work with team members and stakeholders within and across teams to ensure achievement of outcomes in a dynamic environment. Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with particular emphasis in the areas of consultation, negotiation, influencing, conflict resolution and assertiveness in order to resolve issues and meet changing needs of the City. Qualification & Experience: Demonstrated experience in managing small projects and establishing new solutions to improve business service provision. Proven experience in managing ITIL processes, business and technical analysis. A technical and/or ICT Service Management background with ITIL certification and project management experience.
