Job Description:

As Energy Management Officer you will provide administration, operations and business support services for Asset Custodians to manage, improve and maintain the operation of their electrical energy assets. You will also support the implementation of a range of asset management and energy initiatives to broaden and strengthen the economic base and reputational benefits to the City.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide Technical advice and customer service activities to internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage electricity & electric vehicle charging station enquiries via internal workflow database (approx. 20-30 enquiries/week)
  • Taking responsibility for and utilising numerous software tools to monitor the City’s renewable infrastructure – to act on, ensure device availability, optimal performance for customer satisfaction and KPI reporting purposes
  • Responsible for managing and maintaining all relevant enquiries through the Energex portal and electricity outage notification management for the City
  • Consult, liaise and communicate with key stakeholders by establishing and maintaining a collaborative network and partnerships
  • Assist in the analysis and reporting of annual energy reduction plans for all assets throughout the City based on energy mitigation strategies
  • Manage computerised maintenance management data/entries including SAP& GIS, asset management and invoicing

Job Requirements:

  • You have advanced MS Office skills – particularly Excel, with the ability to perform complex calculations, data interrogation and analysis; Word (macros, table of contents); Visio (flowcharts) and Powerpoint (flash video and animation)
  • You have demonstrated experience and a good understanding of computerised management systems such as SAP
  • You are a ‘can do’ person who has great satisfaction in identifying improvement opportunities and thrives on solving problems in a complex environment
  • You like change, are an enthusiastic self-starter and dedicated team player with a continuous improvement and growth mindset
  • You have highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written and can prepare insightful performance and audit/record keeping reports, procedures, process maps, project plans, file management and other professional documents
  • You have good working knowledge of electricity sectors specifically Distribution and Retail
