Job Description:

The Development and Building team ensure effective, timely and accurate assessment and processing of preliminary proposals, applications and referrals.We have an exciting opportunity within our Development and Building team for an experienced Tree Management Officer who can assess and determine tree applications and provide technical tree and landscape advice relating to development applications. This position when required will provide technical advice to assist in investigating breaches of Council’s Tree Controls. Additionally, this role will require excellent communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to apply relevant controls in the assessment of Tree applications.
• Ability to resolve issues with customers both internal and external in an amicable fashion.
• Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision, manage time effectively, plan and organise workloads and set priorities.
• Diploma in Arboriculture or equivalent
• Experience in the Tree Management field.
• Class C Driver’s Licence.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
