Job Description:
The City of Greater Dandenong currently has opportunities for two Early Parenting Practitioners with a passion for Sleep and Settling, to join our Maternal and Child Health Team.
The City of Greater Dandenong is centrally located in South East Victoria, providing a range of Maternal and Child Health services to a community that is diverse in both culture and lived experience. We have a strong Early Years Program that fosters support and integration across services and are working towards increased flexibility within the service through both consultation hours and program expansion.
The Victorian State Government has recently provided Local Government with additional funding to provide support for families with identified sleep and settling concerns
Job Requirements:
The successful applicants will hold role specific qualifications in a Tertiary Early Childhood Education qualification and have specialist knowledge and experience working with families with children 0-school age. Previous experience and training in the field of Sleep and Settling will be advantageous
- Extensive knowledge of child development, including factors that impact on sleep and settling
- An innovative approach to engagement of families
- Experience working in both community and home-based settings
