Job Description:
The Defence Capability Analyst position, based in the Future Concepts and Analysis Discipline will undertake fundamental research into future systems concepts, focussing on emerging technologies such as hypersonic weapons. The incumbent will work within a diverse team to exploit these technologies: we collaborate with stakeholders from both DSTG, and other Defence groups and services, to inform decision making about capability acquisition and force design, as well as technology development.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to harness collaborations with stakeholders as appropriate in order to define and conduct analytical activities. This includes liaising across STC, MSTC and Divisional boundaries, and into academia and industry to achieve outcomes for Defence.
- Experience in all aspects of the analysis methodology. This will include (as appropriate for individual studies): problem definition, analytical plan development, analysis execution, soft systems approaches, statistical analysis, model development and reporting and documenting of results to internal and client stakeholders.
- Interpersonal skills to work collaboratively, tailor personal communication strengths and select appropriate mediums for conveying information, and motivate and mentor members of a team to deliver results.
