Job Description:
The positions of Regional Mental Health Manager (RMHM) and Regional Mental Health Promotion Coordinator (MHPC) are important parts of the national network of professionals working in mental health for the Australian Defence Force (ADF). The RMHMs and MHPCs are responsible for coordinating the planning, delivery and monitoring of Joint Health Command managed mental health programs and initiatives in their region. Both roles deliver evidence based and evidence informed mental health promotion programs and initiatives to military members and the Defence health workforce.
Job Responsibilities:
- They deliver training and programs to military members, provide advice to commanders, and engage with the development of new mental health initiatives in their region
- They play a key role in the promotion aspect of the Australian Defence Force Centre for Mental Health (ADFCMH) products.
- The MHPC reports to the RMHM, and is responsible for the coordination of mental health promotion activities and the training programs that are delivered to military members in their region.
