Job Description: This role offers substantial scope for Whole of Australian Government and cross-jurisdictional leadership to shape and strengthen Australia’s national security. You will lead and implement programs of work aligned to the National Security Science and Technology Priorities which will range from long term foundational research to near term product deliverables. This position will manage significant investments in national security research, development and innovation. Job Requirements: You will be able to understand the major strategic issues of concern for you National Security domain stakeholders, and then determine the most effective approach to addressing the S&T elements of those issues. You will be able to undertake complex to highly complex work requiring diverse experience to resolve, and to report on that work in language which suits stakeholder needs. You will work under broad guidelines and are responsible for utilising S&T knowledge, skills and experience to meet the needs of key stakeholders. You will have a national or international reputation in a specific field of science, and considerable experience, awareness and knowledge across a range of S&T applied to National Security.
