Dignity Health Employment – Respiratory Therapist

Job Description:

The incumbent is an advanced Respiratory Therapist who can perform all therapies provided by the Respiratory Care Department throughout the hospital with minimal assistance. The incumbent may assist with ensuring necessary staffing and appropriate levels of equipment as needed.

Job Requirements:

• RRT and NRP certification required
• Bachelors degree in Respiratory Care OR Associates degree in Respiratory Care with current Adult Critical Care
• Specialty certification
• Current California RCP license in good standing required
• Must be able to clearly communicate in English and possess critical thinking skills
• NPS credentialing must be completed within one year of hire date
• EEG training must be completed within one year of hire date
• Current ACLS, BLS and PALS certifications required (must be certified through the American Heart Association)
• 1 year work experience or 3 years of clinical experience, as required for Bachelors degree in Respiratory Care, in an acute care facility
