Job Description:
The Clovis DMV Field Office is seeking a dependable, well organized, self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and the ability to multi-task. The incumbent audits work for accuracy and collections of cashiers; accepts and verifies cash turn-ins; prepares monies and checks for deposit; maintains local files in the automated system; maintains records of accountable items; orders, assigns, destroys and conducts physical inventory as needed; prepares and ships office work daily; is responsible for the integrity of control room security including monies, keys, accountable items, reports and logs; provides technical support; answers questions; explains errors and procedures; interprets and relays accounting procedures, automation updates and new keying procedures; answers phone inquiries from headquarters units; processes registration and driver license transactions as needed; and performs other duties as required.
Individuals who are currently in the classification, eligible for lateral transfer, eligible for reinstatement, have list eligibility, are in the process of obtaining list eligibility, or have SROA and/or Surplus eligibility (please attach your letter, if available). SROA and Surplus candidates are given priority; therefore, individuals with other eligibility may be considered in the event no SROA or Surplus candidates apply. Individuals who are eligible for a Training and Development assignment may also be considered for this position(s).
