Job Description:

The Electronics Technician, Maintenance II applies basic and some advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems by interpreting manufacturers’ manuals or similar documents.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Repairs simple electronic equipment
  • May perform armament electrician requirements based upon specialized training
  • Work under immediate supervision and achieves technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician.
  • Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence, in selecting tools, testing instruments, and is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices.
  • Take test readings using common instruments such as digital multi-meters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers and oscilloscopes.
  • Work under close supervision receiving technical guidance from supervisor or higher-level technician.
  • Performs such tasks as replacing components and wiring circuits
  • Work is checked frequently for accuracy

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to use and knowledge of all tools and equipment that are used by the craft.
  • Must be able to Read, Write and Communicate effectively in English
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required, Specialized Electronics Technician training courses is desirable.
  • Minimum (1) one years of work experience related to Electronics Technician Maintenance and experience in 94 series MOS heavily desired.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, construction drawings, schematics and diagrams
  • Ability to perform most complex and unusual tasks of the craft without supervision.
  • Ability to perform work safely.
  • Must be able to type using a standard keyboard to communicate through e-mail and software applications.
