Job Description:

You’re a solutions-oriented, hands-on leader who is willing to listen and collaborate with your team. You are customer focused and have led and managed construction quality programs. You will ensure the project is built within contract document specifications, owner requirements, and comply with local, state, and federal building codes. In addition, you will coordinate with other trades, process daily reports of project progress, and adhere to all guidelines issued by the owner.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct preparatory, initial, and follow-up meetings.
  • Create, update, and maintain the project logs and all other project-specific quality control reports.
  • Confer with management and other departments to define client requirements and expectations.
  • Review shop drawings and submittals for conformance with project specifications by direct review and by leveraging the knowledge and experience of others in the project team when necessary.
  • Schedule inspection and testing with coordination between operations, consultants, material laboratories, and Client. Document testing procedures, methodologies, or criteria.
  • Communicate quality control information to all relevant organizational departments, outside vendors, and contractors.
  • Chair and document weekly Q.C. meetings with the superintendent and provide written minutes as described in project-specific contract documents.

Job Requirements:

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance at a later date during employment
  • Good communication skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, and ability to prioritize, organize and manage time
  • Due to the nature of the work, must be a U.S. citizen
  • Skill in the use of computers and computer applications and software
  • At least 5 years of quality control experience in the construction industry
  • Familiar with the U.S. Government Federal Acquisition Regulations
  • Advanced knowledge of Quality Control techniques and practices
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction, Project Management, or other relevant discipline
