Job Description: EDC’s National Lead Inclusive Trade will be primarily responsible for the ongoing development and implementation of EDC’s longer-term strategy and roadmap to help more Canadian women entrepreneurs go, grow, and succeed internationally. In collaboration with other internal stakeholders, the successful candidate will develop the annual operational plan, required budget, and implement any processes needed to deliver on the expected outcomes. This individual engages regularly at key events, builds and maintains effective long-term relationships with key partners, develops partnerships and joint initiatives, and leverages their network for referrals and to develop an opportunity pipeline to meet longer term objectives. Job Responsibilities: Provide leadership and expertise to support the development of tailored/customized solutions as required Support implementation and build necessary operational capabilities to achieve set objectives and meet expected outcomes Gather and share market intelligence through interactions with business associations and communities supporting women-owned businesses Utilize existing/new research and engage with key stakeholders to influence organizational alignment on principles of improved service to women-owned and -led businesses in trade Working with internal stakeholders (e.g. CMSB), proactively engage with current and prospective customers to identify and develop new business opportunities with women-owned/-led businesses Liaise with government partners and other public and private sector counterparts to build relationships and advance common objectives Provide subject matter expertise and strategic direction to lead the development of a strategy and longer-term roadmap to improve the accessibility and relevance of EDC to businesses owned and led by women Job Requirements: Business development experience in international business and/or financial services, or related experience University degree in business, finance, international relations, or related area Deep experience working with women business owners or the community supporting them, and demonstrated interest and understanding of business issues and challenges faced by women entrepreneurs Knowledge of best practices in sales and/or relationship management Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain good personal and public relations Experience developing long term strategies Good knowledge of EDC’s financial and non-financial solutions Job Details: Company: EDC Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: Ottawa, CA Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here careers-trivia.com
