Job Description
Improve Emirates NBD Group business performance by providing best in class strategic sourcing and support services. Strategic sourcing team ‘create value’ by leveraging significant spend and synergies across the ENBD group. This is achieved through the implementation of world class strategic sourcing methodologies and the utilization of sourcing tools, processes and technology.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor business unit satisfaction with key suppliers and the support/responsiveness of the centre purchasing activity for assigned leverage commodities. Develop an expertise in the assigned spend categories
- Maintain a working knowledge of applicable federal and local laws and regulations as well as any internal policies (e.g. code of ethics) or procedures to ensure that the behaviour exhibited by the organization is honest, ethical and professionalIdentifying and communicating new technologies and solutions to Company’s key problems in the assigned spend areas
- Identify/define sourcing best-practices both within and external to Company and work with key stakeholders to ensure that those best practices are widely adopted by Company’s groups, segments and subsidiarie
- Leads the vendor selection (RFP, RFQ, RFI, single source) and negotiation process; establishes and maintains contractual and business relationships with the vendors; monitors contract compliance; solves operational issues with vendors (e.g., quality, delivery and service issues) and adjusts sourcing strategies based on supplier performance and business unit input. On an ongoing basis, the IT Sourcing Manager is responsible for holding supplier reviews and ensuring progress to year-over-year supplier improvement goals
- Drive annual productivity improvements in each spend category. Work within and external to Company, the IT Sourcing Manager will develop, champion, and ensure implementation of ideas that will optimize Company’s total cost year-over-year for assigned spend categories.
- Ensure strategies are implemented and reductions secured according to implementation plans. Contract compliance will be actively monitored by the IT Sourcing Manager and when required, the IT Sourcing Manager will work with business unit leadership to address non-compliance issues
Job Requirements
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills – able to construct/execute multiple complex analyses simultaneously
- Good planning/project management skills – able to develop comprehensive workable issue sets in complex situations
- Strong cost and contract negotiating skills and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) approach
- Quick study – able to gain a fact based understanding of current supplier base, supplier economics and major trends in relevant markets
- Able to understand and review an IT Statement Of Work (SOW)
- Superior communication skills; strong interpersonal skills
