Job Responsibilities:

  • Learn the operation of more complex equipment and procedures.
  • Assessing and ensuring situations are safe to perform the work required.
  • Installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and decommissioning of odourization, measurement and control equipment.
  • Support operations and engineering for any odourization system issues, including measurement, SCADA, and control.
  • Perform duties in compliance with company and legislation policies, procedures and safety regulations.
  • Develop and execute on custom procedures of work for pipeline conditioning projects.
  • Work with significant independence and overseeing contractors.

Job Requirements:

  • Knowledge of gas industry devices (controllers, control valves, regulators, relief valves, etc).
  • Work in a team environment with the Construction and Maintenance (C&M) crews on work that is within the scope of their skills and abilities.
  • Strong computer, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Project Management capabilities.
  • University or College degree in fields such as Electrical/Controls, Electrical Engineering or Controls Technology, Electronics Technology, Mechanical, Mechatronics
  • Engineering, Electrical certification combined with five years of related field experience or equivalent mix of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of SCADA communication devices and hardware.
  • Ability to operate and maintain various tools and equipment.
  • CET designation as Technologist or equivalent.
  • Strong safety attitude and sense.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electronic measurement and control equipment.
  • Open to work overtime, weekends, and be on call and standby as needed.
