Job Description:

We are looking for a Solutions Architect who has airline cargo experience and is looking to join a large scale transformation programme. The successful candidate will be responsible to define and guarantee the overall standards and direction of architecture in the airline cargo applications domain across the organisation.

Job Responsibilities:

  Manage the effective achievement of objectives by setting individual targets, developing and motivating staff in order to maximize performance

  Implement the Function/Department strategy to ensure alignment with Company strategy
• Policies and procedures
  Implement relevant policies, processes and procedures and monitor adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner
• Day-to-Day Operations
  Manage the day-to-day operations by providing guidance, encouraging teamwork and facilitating related professional work processes in order to achieve high performance standards
• Define the standards, guidelines and direction (roadmap) of airline cargo systems architecture to ensure consistency with the overall architecture framework, T&I policies and standards
• Lead airline cargo systems design and enhancement initiatives to ensure consistency with the overall architecture and compliance with guidelines, strategy and procedures
• Review and maintain airline cargo systems architecture requirements for development, execution, and operations environments to ensure continuous improvement of airline cargo platforms & systems and limit disruptions
• Review the airline cargo application plan to ensure alignment with T&I and Etihads strategy and objectives
• Contribute to the definition of the evolution roadmap for application architecture services which includes; cloud, airline cargo platforms, digital integration (service orchestration, APIs and micro services) related to airline cargo technologies, platforms and services.
• Lead airline cargo solution architecture, design and implementation through a full stack architecture approach which embraces a DevOps and AGILE methodology and culture
• Recommend and advise on innovations introduction to support the adoption of best practice solutions
• Review and analyse technology market trends to identify and suggest innovations
• Review and validate technical solutions for airline cargo platforms, systems & integrations to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with the overall enterprise architecture
• Lead the development of relevant technical documentation (design, models and patterns) & solution architecture artefacts to ensure proper description of airline cargo applications (business, information, application, technology and security) to ensure documentation is aligned with internal standards, policies and principles
• Manage vendors and third parties (through in-depth solution and technology expertise) to monitor they operate in compliance with T&I processes, application architecture strategy and standards
• Collaborate with project teams to provide accurate airline cargo application & integration implementation estimates and timelines which considers the full architecture stack (business, information, application, technology and security) of architecture and design

Job Requirements:

• Prior experience as a solution architect in Cargo domain is preferred
• Understanding of cargo business and related cargo standards and processes

Qualification & Experience:

• Minimum Diploma (2 years or more) in Information Technology, engineering or computing.
• Minimum of 7 years of work experience within relevant solution architecture field with a focus on solution application and integration architecture but must have experience with cross-functional architecture (technology, data, and security and business services)
