Job Description:

As a Digital (Web, Mobile, cloud) Architect, you will play a critical role in leading and executing on our digital strategy. This challenging role requires senior knowledge and experience across many facets of web, mobile and cloud technologies: solution architecture using client-side and server-side JavaScript technologies developing Progressive Web Apps(PWAs), Single Page Apps (SPAs), HTML5, Component based design, Identity and Access Management for web applications, etc., hybrid cloud environments / connectivity, container platforms and modern data services, while understanding the governance, security, monitoring and cost management aspects of the entire ecosystem.  The role should provide thought leadership and strategic direction, to influence the overall roadmap with initiatives that are value generating, yet have the ability to understand and delve into the details across the full stack when required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Build strong relationships with our partners and extended team members, and embrace collaborative approach to developing strategies, solutions, business cases, white papers etc.
• Ensure solution and technology architecture standards, governance and principles are implemented effectively within the value streams using the Etihad Well Architected Framework.
• This role is responsible for developing short term & long-term roadmap along with target state architecture with clear transition steps to improve our digital capability that integrate with our core PSS capabilities in Etihad Aviation Group. This includes developing specific design patterns, standards, and an active architecture runway on an ongoing basis.
• Be an active member of the working group to improve the maturity of Architecture practice, by constantly evaluating and making necessary changes to patterns, standards, policies, guardrails, and other enablers.
• Works closely with all stakeholders to ensure the solutions defined & developed align with the agreed technology roadmaps, business capability model, organizational strategy and are implemented as designed.
• Contributes and leads aspects of the digital strategy using domain driven design techniques and following our agile architecture principles & standards (emergent design, intentional design) to provide a holistic and connected solution design that meets the business strategy and requirements.
• Develop the design and implementation of solution architecture as part of both agile and waterfall delivery, enabling speed to market
• Provide consultation to the product and project delivery teams, identifying and owning ways to apply new or existing technologies to support business initiatives, innovation, facilitating the reuse of ideas, components, services, and proven patterns within the value stream

Job Requirements:

• Experience and understanding of working in an Agile environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or relevant advanced degree is mandatory
• 3-5 years experience of emerging technologies, e.g. artificial intelligence, machine learning, blockchain, facial recognition, IoT etc..
• Experience in seeking the alignment of business and IT, driving common approaches, delivering sustainable, re-usable enterprise architecture using both agile and waterfall methodologies.
• Solution and Technology Architecture expertise with a minimum of 8 years of work experience, , in implementing ecommerce solutions involving large scale web, cloud native and native mobile app development, SOA and microservices design patterns
• Experience with working with and integrating with leading content and experience management solutions such as Adobe cloud suite
• Excellent communication skills with experience in C level stakeholder management. The position requires working closely with other architects, business teams, and project teams
• One or more Certification in Solution and/or Enterprise Architecture desirable – e.g. Well Architected Frameworks, SAFe Architect, TOGAF, Open Certified Architect, ISEB Architecture
• Strong understanding of usage of managing data in relational and non-relational cloud databases
• Extensive experience in modern technologies, such as, HTML5, CCS3, JavaScript libraries, like React & Angular, microservices using NodeJS/ SpringBoot, RESTful APIs, web authentication/authorization using oAuth2/SAML.
• Proven experience in recognizing the corporate strategy and realizing all business processes that define how a company achieves its strategic goals.
