Job Description:

FBI Visual Information Specialists apply their knowledge of design principles to intelligence analysis. In this role, you will use state-of-the-art computer-imaging systems to create visual information presentations, including maps, timelines, networks, tables, flow charts, images, and bar charts that clarify, complement, or enhance FBI analysis on a variety of topics.

Job Responsibilities:

• Plan projects and coordinate project resources, set deadlines and work schedules, create analytic visual information designs, and directly interface with other production personnel.
• Serve as a consultant and advisor in all areas of desktop publishing and graphic art production.
• Coordinate with staff, units, organizations, etc., to obtain resources necessary to complete assignments.
• Serve as a specialist in creating and producing complex presentation materials for use by government officials at all levels and the Intelligence Community at large.
• Consult with authors, analytic tradecraft reviewers, and editors and recommend modifications when design support is necessary for the subject matter to be fully comprehended by the intended audience; enhance the presentation of data and analysis in a publication.

Job Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must be in compliance with the FBI Employment Drug Policy.
• Must be able to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Clearance.
• Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or higher from a U.S.-accredited college or university in a field of study including commercial art, fine art, art history, industrial design, architecture, drafting, interior design, photography, visual communication, or another field related to the position.
• Meet the FBI’s Employment Eligibility requirements.
• Must never have been convicted of a felony.
• Must have two years of full-time professional work experience.
• Computer proficiency required in photo and digital image editing software, desktop publishing software, graphics, and presentation programs, along with other creative design software.
