Job Description:
This position is located in the Office of Pharmaceutical Quality Operations (OPQO), Office of Medical Products and Tobacco Operations (OMPTO), Office of Regulatory Affairs (ORA), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and will serve as a Program Expert. The Office oversees program directors in the coordination, interpretation and evaluation of the Agency’s overall field inspections and compliance efforts in the area of pharmaceutical products.
Job Responsibilities:
- Serves as a chemist, performing scientific reviews, evaluating tobacco products and marketing applications.
- Researches, reviews and evaluates manufacturing processes and facilities used to produce tobacco products.
- Provides advice on matters related to the chemical composition of tobacco products and tobacco product smoke/aerosol.
- Collaborates with external laboratories to develop studies that are well-designed and reflect current state of science.
Qualification & Experience:
- Have 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree in related field or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in related field.
